Giveaway: Ellovi Butter

Giveaway: Ellovi Butter

To say my skin is dry is an understatement. Dehydrated would probably be a more accurate description. As a woman in my 40’s (early 40’s, but why be technical?) who’s dealing with perimenopause, my skin has been through some pretty serious changes lately.

I’ve always had very sensitive skin but once I hit puberty, it became a nightmare treating it with oily/combination skin factored in. I couldn’t use anything with fragrance on my skin, so for many years I used a mild (as mild as a soap can be) fragrance-free soap, both on my body and face. But, often, that left me feeling tight and dry and I would have to go on the search for a gentle, fragrance-free lotion that wouldn’t breakout my skin. I can tell you, that wasn’t an easy feat.

Thankfully, oily, acne prone skin is no longer a consideration when searching for a body or facial moisturizer. But I do still have very sensitive skin that I need to deal with. And because of that, I have come to prefer more natural, organic products rather than the bigger, more commercial brands of lotions and potions. While they may smell good, the ingredients are downright scary and my skin apparently knows it, because it doesn’t react well to most of them.

All Natural Ellovi

That’s why, when I heard about all natural Ellovi (pronounced the way you spell L-O-V-E), I knew I wanted to try Butter.

Butter is a pure, Vegan, cruelty-free, body butter that is made from just five simple ingredients that Mother Nature provides. The ingredients in Butter are not cooked, just simply warmed to extract the oils and are therefore raw (and gluten-free!). And I love that Butter comes in an eco-friendly glass jar!

Butter is made with Macadamia nuts which provide fatty acids that are naturally found in young skin; Shea, long recognized for it’s healing powers; Hemp seeds chocked full of antioxidants that detoxify and purify our skin; Marula Nut for their anti-aging properties and Coconut for the proteins, amino acids, and vitamins necessary to revitalize the skin.

But, for me, what’s not in Butter is as important as what is in it. What you won’t find in Butter is water (which, when it evaporates, leaves our skin even drier promoting wrinkles and aging!), synthetic chemicals like sodium lauryl sulphate, parabens or any other preservatives, fillers, additives, or any secret or hidden ingredients.

Everything in Butter is natural and vital to youthful, healthy skin.

But does it work?

Without a doubt it works on my extremely dry skin. Almost immediately my skin felt and looked more hydrated and healthy, but it didn’t leave me looking or feeling greasy or tacky. I applied Butter after my morning shower and didn’t worry about drying time or if Butter would stain my clothing.

I even used Butter as my facial moisturizer, and it didn’t break me out or leave my face itchy! In fact, it not only made my face look and feel hydrated, it also made my BB Cream application flawless!

Even after doing dishes and washing my hands all day, Butter kept my skin looking and feeling soft and hydrated! And one of my favorite things about Butter is, because it’s not scented, it isn’t irritating to my very sensitive skin, and it’s doesn’t compete with my favorite perfumes.

After Ellovi Butter

Never heard of Ellovi? You will!

Although Ellovi is currently a small company, and you may not be familiar with the brand, I’m going to predict in a very short time they will be the favorite go-to brand for those of us looking for healthy, natural, and cruelty-free beauty products.

Kelly Winterhalter, the founder of Ellovi, is in the process of creating a full line of all natural beauty products, and she’s dedicated to making them pure and nutritious. As a consumer who cares about what I put in and on my body, I can’t tell you how excited I am about that. I hope that, when the time comes for her to roll them out, I can be one of the firsts to try them and introduce them to you! I know if they are half as good as Butter, they will be must-haves for this happy girl!

But, because I believe you’re going to love Butter as much as I do, you’ll want to keep up with Ellovi on Facebook and Twitter, too.

Had to Share!

After using Butter for a week or so, I loved it so much I knew I had to email Kelly to ask if she would sponsor a giveaway. I wanted you to try it, as well, and Kelly was generous enough to agree to give away and ship a full size jar (a $26 value!) of Ellovi Butter to one lucky reader of A Room for Two with a View!

This giveaway is open to the U.S only, and you must be 18 yrs or older to enter. Winning entry will be verified.

This giveaway will begin today, July 2, and end in two weeks on July 16th at midnight, EST. Rafflecopter will randomly select one winner and that persons name will be announced here, on this post, at A Room for Two with a View. I will also contact the winner via email and you will have 24 hours to respond before another name will be drawn.

Good Luck, everyone!

Congratulations to Sarah M, the winner of our Ellovi Butter Giveaway!

This is a sponsored post. I was provided one (1) 3.5oz jar of Ellovi Butter in exchange for my honest opinion. Ellovi is responsible for giveaway fulfillment.

It’s a great value for your money, so even if you don’t win, Katy, it’s worth purchasing. A little really goes a long way!

I got a little psycho on the skin deep data base site a while back and switched to all health and beauty products that were a little safer. A fave that I stuck with is Beauty without Cruelty shampoo and conditioner. A not so good one would be the deodorant. haha I want to try the Ellovi butter!

I’ve switched David and I over to as many all-natural organic products as I can find. And, I’m always on the lookout for natural alternatives to the things that I haven’t been able to switch over yet.

Have you tried Toms of Maine Long-Lasting Care Natural Deodorant? David and I use it and it works pretty well. I need a freshening up after a run, but that’s a given regardless of deodorant! lol

Ellovi is a wonderful body butter/ moisturizer! I know you’ll love it as much as I do if you try it, Sarah! ;)

I love Burts Bees products but I’ve recently expanded into using more all natural body products. Everyday Shea is wonderful and I also really like the shampoo and conditioner at Trader Joe’s!

Recently I have decided that I can’t live without Dr Woods Raw Black Natural Cleansing bar for my face. it’s pretty awesome; basically an argan oil/shea butter based soap but I think very well balanced. http://drwoodssoap.wordpress.com/bar-soaps/

My favorite natural beauty products are things I can find around the house. Witch Hazel as a toner/astringent, or Baking Soda as a face scrub! :) Hope I win!

One of my favorite products is coconut oil. The uses are endless and a variety of skin types can use it, even those with oily skin.

Locally we had a company that started off creating all natural make up in their basement and became a very popular company called joppa minerals! I love them.
