Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday
David and I love fishing. We’re not big fish eaters so we mostly catch and release. These pictures were taken in the Gulf of Mexico just off of Captiva Island in Florida. We rented a boat for the day and headed out to do some fishing. We didn’t catch anything too impressive, but we had a lot of fun! Everything we caught that day was returned to the ocean. Stress-Free Toilet Training For Cats Weeks 14-19

Stress-Free Toilet Training For Cats Weeks 14-19
Litter training cats is a no-brainer. Cats are hard wired to dig and bury their waste, so you’re not required to do much beyond giving them a box full of litter. Toilet training your cat isn’t quite as easy. Especially when you’re toilet training multiple cats at a time. We finished Weeks 11-13 strong. After I reverted back to their original feeding schedule and swapped the flared [...]

Simple Sunday Pot Roast

Simple Sunday Pot Roast
This is the pot roast I make when I plan to use the leftovers for Roast Beef Hash or Shredded Beef Tacos the next day. This particular roast will be served tonight with Al Fresco Green Beans and Mushroom Saute (recipe coming soon!) and red beans and rice. Tomorrow the leftover meat will become Shredded Beef Tacos. It’s a very easy recipe, and after cooking 8 hours on low in a crockpot, it melts [...]

Baked Sweet Potato Chips

Baked Sweet Potato Chips
This is another super simple recipe that just tastes so darn good. The key to this recipe is to slice your potatoes thin and then let them cook low and slow.  I like to use cumin, paprika, and sea salt (they are delicious!), but you can use any seasoning you prefer.  I hope you give them a try and let me know in the comments below how you seasoned yours. Happy eating!   Baked [...]

Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday
David retired from the Air Force a few years ago and while he was active duty we were lucky enough to get stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Well, just outside of it at Eielson AFB. We lived in North Pole, Alaska for 4 1/2 years and loved every. single. minute. of it! We had so many adventures exploring the state in our motorhome. Adventures I’ll certainly share with all of you here on my blog. The [...]

Crispy Zucchini Chips

Crispy Zucchini Chips
This week I’m adding a super quick and easy recipe for Crispy Zucchini Chips. They take a while to bake, but they are so worth the time. These delightful little treats are addictive and have completely replaced potato chips (with the exception of homemade sweet potato chips) for my go-to salty snack!  I hope you give them a try and let me know what you think of them in the comments below! Happy [...]

BB Creams VS CC Creams

BB Creams VS CC Creams
I have to admit, I’m a BB and CC Cream junkie. But probably not for the reasons you would think one would love them. What are BB and CC Creams? Depending on where you are in the world, BB stands for “Blemish Balm” or “Beauty Balm” and CC is “Color Correction” or “Color Control”.  Korean brand Liolele BB Cream BB’s were created by a dermatologist [...]
