Wordless Wednesday – Happy Holly-days

Wordless Wednesday – Happy Holly-days

The little town of Nashville has to be one of my favorite places in Indiana. It’s a small town in Brown County Indiana with cute little craft stores lining its streets. Many of the shops showcase works by local artists, and you can find everything from homemade candles and quilts to beautiful paintings and wood sculptures. Anything you can imagine can likely be found in Nashville.

Some of the fondest memories of my childhood are in Nashville. My parents would pack up all of us kids and we’d spend a weekend camping in Brown County state park, and taking in all of the shops in “Little Nashville”, as it’s known locally.

Since moving to Indiana several years ago, David and I try to make it down there every year. This year we went down in October and the weather was perfect. It wasn’t too warm, but we didn’t need light jackets either. It was the perfect Autumn day.

One of the places we visited this year, that we hadn’t in the past, was The Holly Shop. It’s an adorable little shop inside, but the real show was happening outside. A gorgeous border of Red Cockscomb flowers proudly lined the property and beckoned to shoppers with their cheerful blooms. These little beauties grow from late summer to late fall and we caught them in all their glory.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you will share your Wordless Wednesday with me by linking up below.
