Wordless Wednesday – Holiday World

Wordless Wednesday – Holiday World

Last weekend we went to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana to celebrate the birthdays of our friends children. And, although I’m not a huge fan of roller coasters, I love amusement parks.

I love all of the other rides and games and, most of all, I love watching my husband ride all of the biggest roller coasters with the enthusiasm and delight of a child.

Below are pictures of him riding The Voyage for the second time that day. (He’s the one in the orange shirt waving)

The first time Saturday he was in the very first car, but this time he wanted to try it in the last car.

According to Holiday World’s website the Voyage is the “#1 Wooden Coaster in the nation, according to TIME magazine. You’ll experience 24.2 seconds of zero-G, one of the steepest drops on any wooden coaster and 90-degree banking at highway speeds!”

Call me a chicken, but I’m not going over 70 miles an hour in an open little coal car on rails. And I’d prefer that my husband wouldn’t either, but I reluctantly watch as he enthusiastically gets in line time and time again.

I love a party, so if you’d like to keep up with my Linky parties, as well as what David and I are doing, please subscribe to my RSS Feed.

I was never good on roller coasters or rides as a child. I am even worse now. I get nauseous just swinging on the playground swings!

Yikes. I like roller coasters as long as I don’t have to ride them.

I cannot understand why anyone would want to ride a rollercoaster. But, my husband loves them, and so do our boys. I try not to panic!

Sounds like your husband is the perfect candidate for attending our annual HoliWood Nights event for coaster enthusiasts! Here’s the link to more information: https://www.holidayworld.com/clubs It’s really just a big social event for those we affectionately refer to as “Coaster Crazies.” :)

    Thanks for visiting!
