When I refinished my cabinets last year I wanted to paint the backs with chalkboard paint. Well, life got in the way, and I never got around to it.
I finally finished it last weekend and liked it so much I painted labels on my storage jars as well. I’m very happy with they way they all turned out, so I thought I’d share them with all of you.

I can still remember my older sister and I singing Kenny Rogers’ Islands in the Steam into our hairbrushes as kids. We were obsessed (and apparently a little nerdy, now that I think about it). Anyway, we were so obsessed that our long-suffering mother yelled several times a day for us to turn down our stereos and even threatened to throw away our beloved .45 single.(yes, I am just that old)
The little town of Nashville has to be one of my favorite places in Indiana. It’s a small town in Brown County Indiana with cute little craft stores lining its streets. Many of the shops showcase works by local artists, and you can find everything from homemade candles and quilts to beautiful paintings and wood sculptures. Anything you can imagine can likely be found in Nashville.

Living with 3 cats, there’s never a dull moment. While there can be times of frustration (think toilet training 3 cats), for the most part, they bring me great joy.
Lily and Atticus, the youngest of the 3 at just over a year old, are still very playful. They will chase each other around the house for hours before, finally, finding a comfy spot to nap.
